DESCRIPTION:In the period from October\, 31 to November\, 4\, the Olga Leng
	yel Institute and Documenta - Center for dealing with the past will organi
	ze in Zagreb a seminar for teachers in Croatia\, titled „Learning from the
	 Past-Acting for the Future. Teaching about the Holocaust and Human Rights
	“.\n\nThe aim of the program is to contribute to increasing the quality of
	 education regarding the Holocaust and social justice in Croatia. The prog
	ram provides a rich opportunity to integrate national and international ap
	proaches in teaching about these topics and in understanding the contempor
	ary relevance of this important part of modern history.\n\nThe five workin
	g days will be full of various content and activities\, including lectures
	\, workshops\, opportunities to exchange good practices\, methods and mate
	rials\, which can be used in your everyday work with students. Furthermore
	\, visits to the Jewish community and other locations relevant for the his
	tory of the Holocaust in Croatia\, as well as a memorial walk will be orga
	nized. \n\nThere is no fee to attend the seminar. The costs for training\,
	 food and accommodation during the entire seminar are covered by the organ
	izers. Travel costs are not covered. Participants are asked to arrange the
	ir own travel in such a way to be able to participate for the entire durat
	ion of the seminar: arrival in Zagreb on 31 October before 3 PM and depart
	ure on 4 November after 1 PM.\n\nThe working language is Croatian. For the
	 sessions in English\, delivered by international speakers\, interpretatio
	n into Croatian will be provided using headsets and a team of professional
