DESCRIPTION:Teachers and educators from Slovakia are invited to apply to th
	e seminar “Learning from the Past - Acting for the Future”\, organized by 
	The Olga Lengyel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights in partn
	ership with the Holocaust Documentation Center in Slovakia. This event is 
	open to educators of all disciplines who are motivated to engage with topi
	cs related to Holocaust\, human rights\, and intercultural education. The 
	seminar combines methods from Holocaust education\, human rights education
	\, and intercultural education. It aims to: ● Develop teachers’ critical u
	nderstanding of antisemitism\, the Holocaust and other instances of social
	 injustice ● Develop teachers’ understanding of the impact of stereotypes\
	, prejudices and discrimination at individual\, group and society level\; 
	● Develop teachers’ understanding of the Jewish life before and after the 
	Holocaust\; ● Increase appreciation for innovative\, student-centered teac
	hing methods\, including extra-curricular activities and partnerships betw
	een school and other institutions and organizations\; ● Promote an interdi
	sciplinary approach to Holocaust\, human rights and intercultural educatio
	n\; ● Develop teachers’ competences for democratic culture. Following the 
	seminar teachers will receive support to put their learning into practice\
	, run local projects with their students and engage in collaborative initi
	atives with fellow TOLI seminar participants from other countries. \nAll s
	eminar costs are covered\, except for travel\, which participants are expe
	cted to cover themselves.\nTeachers and educators from across Slovakia can
