DESCRIPTION:Teachers from Slovakia are invited to apply for the seminar "Le
	arning from the Past\, Acting for the Future\," organized by The Olga Leng
	yel Institute for Holocaust Studies and Human Rights (TOLI) in partnership
	 with the Holocaust Documentation Center in Slovakia and the European Jewi
	sh Cemeteries Initiative. The seminar will take place in Bratislava from 1
	7 to 21 August 2026 and is open to educators of all disciplines who are co
	mmitted to teaching about the Holocaust\, human rights\, and intercultural
	 understanding in ways that resonate with students today.\nThe pedagogical
	 approach promoted in this seminar is interdisciplinary\, rooted in the be
	lief that the Holocaust is one of the most complex events in world history
	 and cannot be reduced to simplistic explanations. This approach integrate
	s Holocaust education\, human rights education\, and intercultural educati
	on\, equipping teachers with the tools to foster critical thinking and civ
	ic engagement among their students. The seminar will strengthen participan
	ts’ ability to guide students in exploring historical narratives\, drawing
	 connections between past and present\, and contributing to democratic\, i
	nclusive societies where every individual’s dignity is respected.\nBeyond 
	the seminar\, teachers will receive ongoing support to implement meaningfu
	l educational projects with their students\, incorporating TOLI’s interdis
	ciplinary methodology into their classrooms.\nWith Assistance from the Con
