DESCRIPTION:The National Association of Young Historians of Moldova (ANTIM)
	 announces the Final Event of the 2025–2026 History Competition\, to be he
	ld on 18 June 2026 in the Republic of Moldova. Organised under the theme “
	War and Peace in History Textbooks from the Republic of Moldova\,” the com
	petition encouraged students to critically explore how conflict and peace 
	are represented in school textbooks and to reflect on their importance for
	 contemporary society.\n\nNow in its fifth edition and organised in partne
	rship with the EUSTORY network\, the contest promotes historical education
	\, civic engagement\, and democratic values among young people. The initia
	tive combines international experience with Moldovan educational realities
	 and supports innovative approaches to history teaching.\n\nThe competitio
	n invited middle and high school students to carry out original research p
	rojects in creative formats such as posters\, podcasts\, videos\, intervie
	ws\, journals\, and documentaries. Participants explored representations o
	f war and peace in textbooks\, challenged stereotypes\, and proposed alter
	native historical narratives.\n\nThe 2025–2026 edition attracted 55 projec
	ts from gymnasium and lyceum students across Moldova. During the final eve
	nt\, the jury will recognise the 15 best projects and several honourable m
	entions. Evaluation focused on research quality\, originality\, argumentat
	ion\, and thematic relevance. Winners will receive diplomas\, educational 
	materials\, and symbolic prizes.\n\nAs EUSTORY celebrates its 25th anniver
	sary in 2026\, selected winners from Moldova will also participate in the 
	EUSTORY Past Forward Festival in Hamburg\, Germany\, bringing together you
	ng historians from across Europe to discuss history\, peace\, and civic re
	sponsibility.
