Ordinary Week: An Attempt to Emancipate Women in the Soviet Union

Abstract of the publication

“Ordinary Week” is an educational graphic novel. It presents a critical perspective on the nearly seventy-year Soviet experiment of emancipating women and targeting demographic growth. The book includes the story of one week in the life of a young Soviet woman, 15 tables of statistical data, more than 20 articles from various issues of the Soviet Armenian Female Worker of Armenia magazine, a historical overview, and an active historical thinking questionnaire.
