Description

As well as the main theme of the conference, there are 7 HEIRNET conference themes (and sub-themes) which have been submitted by delegates over the last 20 years. These are: Public History & Citizenship Historical Culture & Identity Thinking Historically, Historical Knowledge & Learning Pedagogy/Didactics: Teaching, Learning And Assessment Teacher Training And Professional Development Researching History Education – Approaches, Methods And Methodologies Delegate- Proposed Themes or Workshops SUBMISSION TYPES Individual papers: 15-minute presentations followed by discussion Symposia and Panels: Groups of minimum 4 papers centred on a common theme (90 minutes) Workshops: Interactive sessions showcasing teaching strategies or tools (45 minutes) ABSTRACTS All presentations must be proposed using an abstract as the conference programme is based upon these. Abstracts should either (a) relate to a conference themes or (b) propose a theme of the delegates choice. Please note that submission of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance – the organising committee will review and approve all abstracts. We will respond to submissions and their abstracts within two weeks of receipt, either with an acceptance or rejection.
