This panel discussion is a part of the Thematic Pre-Session on the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture and Education for Sustainable Development, Empowering Futures: Education for Sustainable Development. Organised by the Council of Europe, the half-day thematic session sets the stage for the subsequent Working Group meeting on the Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture (RFCDC) and Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). Presentations will cover topics including the Council of Europe's environmental framework and youth perspectives on global issues. Additionally, panel discussions will focus on integrating environmental education into history teaching and exploring innovative pedagogies for ESD.
