The 4th Forum on History Education, organised by the Council of Europe’s History Education Division on “Reaffirming the Role of History Education in the 21st Century: Where Learners Meet History”, will take place from June 11 to 13 at the European Youth Center in Budapest, Hungary. This year’s Forum will focus on the role of learners in history education, exploring the spaces and conditions in which they engage with history, as well as the challenges they face. It will build on the outcomes of previous Forums, with particular attention to the impact of digital technologies on history teaching.
