Description

The European Network Remembrance and Solidarity (ENRS) and the House of the Wannsee Conference (GHWK) invite teachers from Germany for three days of methods workshops on interdisciplinary teaching of 20th-century history. The seminars are part of the project Sound in the Silence – an intercultural and international remembrance programme for secondary school students organised by the ENRS since 2011. During the project, students work with artists from different artistic fields at historically challenging locations. The programme offers young people a chance to find new ways of looking at the history of Europe, its nations, states, and regions, to develop their own perception of reality and the tools for expressing it. The workshops will be held at the House of the Wannsee Conference from 7-9 October 2023 Rules for participation: ▪️ Participation in the workshop is free of charge. ▪️ Lunch and refreshments will be provided by the organisers. ▪️ During the workshop, we will be shooting photographs and making a documentary film about the Sound in the Silence project. In addition to your participation in the workshop, we kindly request your consent to share your visual content. ▪️ Please submit your application by 25th September 2023. Spaces are limited.
