Description
The Observatory on History Teaching in Europe (OHTE) is pleased to announce a Call for Tenders for the establishment of an expert pool to support OHTE’s key activities during the period 2024-2026. This call seeks to engage experts and organisations committed to advancing history education in Europe. Through its diverse activities, OHTE plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of history education across the continent. OHTE's general reports, which are longitudinal studies, delve into the multifaceted landscape of history teaching within its member states. Over time, these reports are designed to yield valuable insights into the evolution of history education in Europe. Additionally, OHTE conducts thematic studies that address topics highly relevant to modern European societies, with the next report focusing on "Economic Crises in History Teaching" in 2024. Beyond research, the OHTE Annual Conference and other events, offers a platform for expert discussion and promotion of best practices and innovative approaches in the field. This Call for Tenders aims to identify a maximum of 40 providers with expertise in fields such as history education policies, pedagogies, educational resources, and survey design. The selected experts may be invited to collaborate within teams to support OHTE's activities. The framework contract to be established through this tender procedure could cover the production of OHTE general and thematic reports, as well as the promotion of OHTE's work, including additional research, publications, tool development, seminars, conferences, and other events. The period of work is expected to run from February 2024 through December 2026, with the possibility of renewal until the end of 2028.
