Description

Students from Belgrade elementary schools Jovan Dučić and Mladost are participating in a three-year project dedicated to nurturing the culture of remembrance and marking 80 years since liberation in the Second World War. During the project, they visited several memorials and monuments, thematic museum exhibitions, participated in workshops, and met with representatives of Jewish communities and other descendants of war participants. Every year, students' works are placed in virtual museums (essays, illustrated stories, videos...). Currently, the project Witnesses speak, monuments remember, consequences warn…more than 80 years now is ongoing, and students' project works, in addition to the virtual exhibition, will be displayed in May at the Staro Sajmište Memorial Center.
