The upcoming 3rd Belgrade History Teaching Symposium, themed "Disarming History," scheduled from April 10th to April 12th, 2024, marks a significant event organized in conjunction with the 75th anniversary of the Council of Europe. Dedicated to fostering quality history education and nurturing intercultural understanding amidst contemporary challenges, this symposium promises to be a vital platform for engaging discussions and collaborative initiatives. At this symposium, esteemed experts, educators, and students from across Europe will converge to engage in enriching discussions and workshops. Our agenda is meticulously curated to address pressing issues, including the misuse of history for political and ideological purposes, with a keen focus on post-conflict environments like the Balkans.
