Experience

I have carried out research on history curricula and textbooks, particularly concerning the sensitive topics of colonial history and enslavement in Europe, for over a decade. I was the Principal Researcher in "'Race' and Africa in Portugal: a Study on History Textbooks (RAP)", 2008 - 2012, sponsored by FCT (FCOMP-01-0124-FEDER-007554). Since then, I have been involved in different national and international projects, while History Education continues to be a central interest.
