Experience

I am a PhD in History. I am interested in business history, in theory and history of entrepreneurship, in social history. My PhD thesis is devoted to a Bulgarian merchant family (Pulievi) from the 19th century. I worked extensively with various preserved documents (commercial and private letters, ledgers, bills of exchange, etc.) in order to reveal the long-lasting economic activity of the mentioned kin. Currently, I work at the Institute for Historical Studies - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. On the other hand, I work as a history teacher. I began my teaching career in 2010. Currently, I work in a High School located in Sofia where I teach history in English. I teach Bulgarian history and world history from Ancient times until the second half of the 20th century. I prefer to teach world history because it gives the context in which one can understand Bulgarian historical destiny. I am highly interested in the contemporary history because a lot of events and processes which took place during the 20th century (for instance World War 1, World War 2, Cold War) shaped the world we are living now.
