Description
The aim of the Seminar was to discuss new interactive methods of teaching world and national history in the multicultural context and to work out recommendations for their use in the classroom. In order to attain this objective it was necessary to: - get acquainted with the priorities in the development of the educational system of the Russian Federation; - comprehend the position of the Council of Europe on history teaching in the multicultural context; - look at education as a means of intercultural dialogue; - perceive the psychological aspects in the development of the new methods; - share expertise in the use of multiperspectivity in teaching controversial and sensitive issues (examples from Northern Ireland, Portugal and Russia in general, and the Chechen Republic, in particular); - discuss new approaches in the preparation of teaching materials on history for present-day schools RUSSIAN VERSION: http://rm.coe.int/CoERMPublicCommonSearchServices/DisplayDCTMContent?documentId=0900001680651532
