This seminar report summarizes the Seminar on "New Approaches in Teaching History in Secondary Schools" held in Iasi. The event was organized in collaboration with the Council of Europe and the Ministry of Education and Research of Romania, as part of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe. Participants included officials responsible for history teaching, textbook authors, curriculum specialists, teacher training experts, and teachers from Romania and Moldova. The seminar provided valuable insights into the challenges faced by history teachers in both countries and facilitated the exchange of best practices. Key successes of the seminar included effective organization, engaging discussions on the seminar's theme, high-quality presentations during plenary sessions, and the enthusiastic participation of local administration representatives and teachers. Ms. Alison Cardwell, in closing the seminar, highlighted the Council of Europe's various educational programs for teachers and the availability of documentation through its documentation centers. Appreciation was expressed to the Romanian and Moldovan participants, the Ministry of Education, speakers, and local authorities in Iasi for their contributions to the seminar's success.
