This event is open to educators of all disciplines who are motivated to engage with topics related to Holocaust, human rights, and intercultural education. The seminar combines methods from Holocaust education, human rights education, and intercultural education. It aims to: ● Strengthen teachers’ critical understanding of antisemitism, the Holocaust, and contemporary forms of Holocaust distortion, as well as their implications for democratic societies and human rights; ● Deepen teachers’ awareness of the impact of stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and exclusion; ● Enhance teachers’ knowledge of Jewish life before, during, and after the Holocaust; ● Develop teachers’ competences to critically assess historical narratives, educational materials, and public discourse, and to respond pedagogically to misinformation, contested memories, and antisemitic narratives in educational settings; ● Increase appreciation for and effective use of innovative, student-centered teaching methods; ● Promote an interdisciplinary approach to Holocaust, human rights, and intercultural education that fosters critical thinking and respect for human dignity. Following the seminar teachers will receive support to put their learning into practice, run local projects with their students and engage in collaborative initiatives with fellow TOLI seminar participants from other countries. All seminar costs are covered, except for travel, which participants are expected to cover themselves. Interested educators can complete the Form available at the given link to submit their application by 22 June 2026.
